The Audacy Digital Engineering team has a remote working opportunity. This team designs and engineers software for the enjoyment of millions of music, news and sports lovers throughout the United States.

  • Our team currently needs a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to drive world class quality in the software platforms we support, through consistent and enjoyable user experiences, effective communication throughout the software organization, and an eye for simplifying complex solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Obsess over quality improvement
  • Take system health and team well-being personally
  • Build high performing test suites by:
    • leading by example in the development of QA systems and test suites
    • ensuring the ongoing health of supported systems through rigorously maintained test plans, test suites, and reporting practices
    • maturing testing practices (manual testing, automation testing, continuous integration and delivery, communication)
    • providing transparency for stakeholders
    • ensuring sufficient test plan execution and code coverage
  • Become a subject-matter expert in supported (front-end and back-end) systems and industry standards
  • Help supported team members develop QA approaches that fit the overall strategy and do their best work Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong QA background with 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
  • Personable and effective team player with the ability to lead and motivate teams and stakeholders
  • Experience
    • UI test automation using Cypress (or similar) test automation framework
    • API test automation using Jest, Postman, Swagger, cURL, or similar tool sets
    • in-depth understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
    • experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tool sets
    • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
    • excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • willingness to uphold quality standards and shift left
  • Nice to Have Experience
    • AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions testing
    • experience working in AWS environments (using EC2, S3, K8, etc.)
    • data ingestion pipeline (podcasting, ad technology, RSS, Content Management System (CMS)) testing
    • testing tools (Zephyr, Test Rail, QAse, or similar)
    • cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack)
    • performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tool sets
    • test reporting using JUnit, TestNG, pytest, or similar tool sets
    • containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tool sets
    • infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform,CloudFormation, or similar tool sets
    • passion for knowledge sharing and mentoring Additional Information

The anticipated starting salary range for Denver, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Remote-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $90,000-$103,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
